I woke up this morning at 4:30am and had a hard time getting back to sleep. While groping for my iPhone (yay iPhone) to figure out exactly what time it was (4:30am) I had this overwhelming realisation that O. M. Goodness - I’m actually doing this, I’m actually, actually the relief society president.

I’ve known officially for 2 weeks but the day bishop called me into his office I had already had a series of pretty strong impressions in the 2 weeks beforehand that it was coming so it came as no surprise when he extended the call.
Still, though, I still felt pretty taken aback and honoured and humbled and most definitely absolutely inadequate.
Its some crazy business!
From that point I quickly set about some INTENSE prayer, fasting and major temple attendance so I could figure out who is meant to be on the presidency and so......
Yesterday was the day it all came to fruition – the old fabulous presidency were released and the new and equally fabulous presidency were sustained.
When we were all set apart after sacrament I really felt like this was exactly as it was meant to be and there was a sweet feeling that we were off to a good start.
It’s a curious thing though, to be called president – and for people to look to you as someone who knows what’s going on – which literally happened as soon as I stood up after sacrament meeting was over.
So, really now it’s up to me to be the best version of myself, already I feel the great love Heavenly Father has for the sisters and I have a vision of the massive potential for good we have together and individually. I’m so grateful to have this amazing opportunity to serve – I really am committed to doing my very best and I know where I lack Heavenly Father will make up the difference……Yay Relief Society!
In other news however, after the epic task of the tidying of my room – where my poor flatmates suffered a temporary annexation of all the floor space in the living room –
