Another 5 nice things on a Friday

Purple Converse

The perfect footwear choice for many a hipster outfit. I bought these converse in a $10 ware-whare sale and have shared some very special moments with them since - jumping for joy and doing the heel clicking mid air thingy has been our specialty – and while there may have been a dodgy incident in a Beijing train station bathroom which I won’t get into - on the whole its been quite the special relationship.

Sinister Pizza: The Vegan Choice

As Evie so often points out; now Gay and Kev are vegans there’s no interesting food to steal from them anymore. It’s either hummus and crackers, tofu stir-fry or if you’re lucky (and I think this is what keeps Evie going) Mum’s cracked and bought Whittaker’s Ghana peppermint dark chocolate, even though Dad is bound to say indignantly ‘Sugar!’  Needless to say options for fast food are limited. Until we happened upon this bad boy .....

Nowadays this is quite the family fave.  Such a fave in fact that the guy at Hell’s Pizza gave me a voucher that expired in 2 days because “he knew someone in my family would use it before then”

My sweet Brother and his Manly Man-beard

Recently Jake has had to grow a beard for the role of a German slave in Spartacus, an American TV series that pays him money for being manly, as far as I can tell anyway. As if his musculature wasn’t enough they told him they’ll give him a whole bunch more if he just grew a beard. Next they’ll be getting him to wear old spice.

August Sunshine

In the midst of Hamilton winter hell, God grants us a reprieve.

John Frieda's FRIZZ-EASE

FrizzEase : The supernanny to naughty frizz

I love and hate this stuff, in New Zealand it’s literally 3 times the price it is in England, but being the recipient of out-of-control-curly-hair genes I HAVE to buy it if I want people to be able see when they sit behind me at the movies. Thus, I love it as it truly is the only hair product that puts the frizz on the naughty step and sorts my hair out proper-like.

loving those sunny shots of Hamilton. Even though it's cold the sun makes everything seem lovely. I wonder how the Greeko pizza from Iguana rates on teh vegan scale?? maybe it would be vegan if you took off the feta cheese?? But the feta is ohhhhhhh so good.
